Ingredients:Spiced Chai Banana Bread
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 60 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 gr butter
  • 150 g flour
  • 4 tbsp of your preferred Spiced Chai Latte mix
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 100 g chocolate drops
Vanilla Chai Frosting  
  • 40 g icing sugar
  • 1 tsp of your preferred Vanilla Chai Latte mix
  • 3 tbsp cream cheese (or Greek yogurt)
  • 1-2 tsp milk (or plant-based alternative)

Supplies:
  • Bowl
  • Fork
  • Whisk
  • Cake or loaf pan
  • Baking paper

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a cake or loaf tin with baking paper.

In a bowl, mash the bananas and mix with the sugar, eggs and melted butter until smooth.

In another bowl, combine the flour, Spiced Chai Latte mix, baking powder and salt.

Gently fold the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until well combined.

Add the chocolate drops and mix briefly.

Pour the batter into the cake tin.

Bake for 45 minutes, until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the banana bread to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Mix the powdered sugar, the Vanilla Chai Latte mix, and cream cheese (or Greek yogurt) into a smooth glaze.

If necessary, add a little milk until spreadable.

Spread or drizzle the Vanilla Chai frosting over the cooled banana bread before slicing.
